Mike Robertson

Mike was born and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia, and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Graduate School of Business. After receiving his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Mike split his time between starting multiple companies and working in senior-level management positions. During his corporate career, Mike and his family lived in Virginia, Maryland, Arizona, and California. In mid-2016, Mike and his family moved back to the Richmond area to be close to family and to exit the corporate world and start a restoration business. Having previously been a general contractor and having a strong track record of starting and growing businesses, starting a restoration business seemed like a perfect fit. By February 2017, Mike launched his business, Restoration 1 of Richmond North, operating a franchise that services multiple counties throughout the Richmond area. By working with so many realtors and home inspectors, Mike became very aware of the importance of radon testing and knew that there was a need to have a reputable radon mitigation company in the area. So in 2021, Mike decided to start Richmond Radon Defense to help service clients in the greater Richmond area.

Mike and his wife, Laura, have lived in Goochland since 2016 and love being back in their home state, as well as being local business owners. They have five sons, one daughter-in-law, and a sweet, little granddaughter– who are each amazing. When Mike and Laura have spare time, they love spending as much time as possible with their family and friends.  Mike also enjoys working in the garden or taking care of the many animals on their small, family farm.
